This was a great project to be involved with, working closely with the Austin Studios team and Toby Morris. The technical brief from their client was to shoot a car commercial on the extremely beautiful but very remote Lake MacDonnell in Australia’s outback.
Through many rounds of careful planning, camera exploration, lighting and reflection studies and a full animated previz animatic we ensured everyone involved that it would be entirely possible to shoot the footage only minutes from Sydney’s CBD and recreate the lake environment through VFX.
